JM Finn appoints new head of office in York
Wealth manager JM Finn has appointed Lucy Coutts, a regular media commentator, as head of its new York office.
Ms Coutts takes over as head of the recently-relocated York office immediately.
She has been at JM Finn since 2011 and works as an investment director, responsible for a range of client portfolios. She works closely with the in-house wealth planning team and is also a member of the firm’s Asset Allocation and Stock Selection committees.
In recent years she has become a regular dawn commentator for JM Finn on BBC Radio 4 and 5 for their Wake up to Money and Today programmes as well as on Sky News’ Ian King Live.
Paul Dyas, head of investment management at JM Finn, said: “I am so pleased Lucy has agreed to take on this role. Having an investment director running the office will ensure the team in York continue to put their clients’ investment needs first and with her broadening public profile, I hope JM Finn’s status as a prominent wealth manager in the north will be cemented further.”
JM Finn moved its most northerly branch office to York following 20 years in Leeds. The office was officially opened in March by the Lord Mayor of York, Councillor David Carr who was accompanied by the Lady Mayoress Lynda Carr.
The York office of JM Finn has 12 staff of which nine are investment managers. They manage over £700m for more than 1,300 clients. The new office is in the Hudson Quarter, close to the station and is a new development.
Nationally JM Finn has over 85 investment professionals and funds under management and administration of £10.4 billion on behalf of over 18,500 clients. The firm is headquartered in London and has four regional offices around the country in Bristol, Bury St Edmunds, York and Winchester.
