Jo Cann and team applauded by crowds at Eiffel Tower finish line
A group of friends who cycled 300 miles to France inspired by IFP chief executive Nick Cann are jubilant today after successfully completing the epic challenge at the weekend.
Mr Cann's wife Jo was leading the team of riders for Team Nick, who set off from London last week and finished the gruelling task on Saturday. The journey took four days.
The five strong Team Nick have raised a total of £25,000 through their efforts for the Stroke Association, a charity close to the Canns' hearts. Mr Cann suffered a stroke last year.
Mrs Cann told Financial Planner Online this morning: "It was an amazing experience and we're still buzzing."
The group, who rode in purple coloured cycling gear emblazoned with the Stroke Association logo, returned home last night.

The team comprised Mrs Cann's sister in law, Honor, her daughter Lucy Claire, Mr Cann's cousin Kate Whittaker, and former IFP President Julie Lord.
As they approached the finish in Paris by the Eiffel Tower they were greeted by motorists beeping their horns and pedestrians applauding and clapping them.
The quintet were among 113 cyclists in total who had all set off from London raising money for various causes. Traffic was stopped as the event reached its climax on Saturday.
Mrs Cann said: "Coming into the Eiffel Tower was the highlight, it was just fantastic.
"We were all proud and pleased as a team with what we have raised. It was also good fun and a laugh."
She said there had been a great team spirit and camaraderie throughout.
Stiff headwinds, torrential rain and numerous hills had made the journey all the more tougher but was not enough to stop the team of ladies from completing the task they had set out to do.
There is still time to donate to the cause and you can do so by following the links below.
