Liberty Sipp launches new low-cost Sipp plan
Sipp provider Liberty Sipp has launched an ultra-low cost Sipp in association with financial adviser firm James Brearley and Sons.
Liberty Sipp, which was launched in 2007, aims to provide accessible and cost-effective Sipps to give customers greater flexibility with their retirement funds.
The Liberty Icon Sipp has no initial charge, no charges on contributions and includes flexible and capped drawdown for a £95 annual fee. There are no costs for transferring money into the Sipp from other existing Sipps or personal pensions.
For advisers it offers no dealing costs, competitive platform fees, a 0.25 per cent annual transaction fee and a 100 per cent rebate.
It will include over 2,000 collective investment schemes as well as shares, gilts, corporate bonds and structured products.
The firm approached James Brearley and Sons to provide the online platform for the investments held within the Sipp as they provide high levels of customer service to avoid pre-recorded messages and call-centres.
Matthew Rankine, sales and marketing manager, at Liberty said: "The Liberty Icon Sipp is extremely low-cost and offers the convenience of electronic trading with the added benefit that clients can pick up the phone and instantly access one-to-one customers service."
Liberty Sipp administers 2,000 Sipps with funds under management of around £150m.
