The FCA has revoked the regulatory permissions of Lincolnshire financial adviser firm John Cotton (FRN: 136224) for non payment of fees.
The regulator said it had revoked permission to carry out regulated business and withdrawn authorisation from the firm which was based in High Street, Lincoln, Lincolnshire.
The firm failed to pay charges totalling £1735.84 owed to the watchdog despite repeated requests that it does so.
The overdue invoices date as far back as 2020.
The FCA said that due to non payment of fees over a number of years it did not consider the firm a “fit and proper person” in regulatory terms.
The cancellation took effect on 17 December with a Final Notice being issued by the regulator.
The firm's only regulated employee is listed on the FCA register as John Charles Cotton.
The firm used a number of trading names from 2017 including: Archway Insurance Consultants, John Cotton, Archway Financial Services and Mister Mortgage.
