New Financial Planning boutique for affluent women
A Chartered Financial Planner who specialises in female divorcee clients has launched a new service for women who have at least £3 million.
Mary Waring has already founded Wealth for Women, a UK Financial Planning consultancy specialising in divorce, in 2013. This helped women with £500,000 or more through the stages of a marriage break-up.
The new service called Elite is exclusively for women with £3 million or more in cash or investments and who are concerned as to whether they can maintain their desired lifestyle.
Ms Waring, who is also a Chartered accountant, promised service that goes “beyond financial advice, to provide all-encompassing guidance and support”.
The premise of the new service is that it will give a woman “confidence, clarity, and peace of mind as to exactly what her lifestyle will look like post-divorce” so she can “stop worrying about money and start enjoying her life”.
She said: “Money on its own has little value. It’s the experiences you can have with money that matter and make a difference to your life. My forte is making sure a woman understands the figures, and has total confidence about her path forwards.
“Many of my clients haven’t dealt with the finances during the marriage. So when divorce strikes, it is quite common for a woman to feel totally overwhelmed and want to put her head in the sand because she doesn’t don’t know what to do. One client told me that as her settlement was delivered to her in Court, she had no idea whether she should be delighted or horrified.”
Mary Waring’s experience is, contrary to popular belief, that wealthy people frequently fear running out of money.
“Regardless of how much money you have, if you don’t know whether it’s enough, the worry will keep you awake at night, she said.
“Every woman needs to be able to visualise a future. It is exceptionally easy to lose confidence during divorce. My mission is to partner together with my client over the long term to develop a step-by-step plan showing what milestones are needed to create the life she wants.
“I then use my professional skills and expertise to organise the money, pension and other financial resources to support her on her journey and help her to achieve her goals.”
