New 'fringe' sessions launched at IFP Annual Conference
New for the IFP Annual Conference this year will be 10-minute 'Fringe' sessions on 1-2 October.
These sessions will be held in the Exhibition Hall foyer and enable delegates to get up-to-date with issues right at the heart of Financial Planning.
The IFP has billed the sessions as 'sometimes controversial but certainly not dull; there's plenty of food of thought.'
Sessions are sponsored by Seven Investment Management.
On day one, topics from 11.45-12.30 will be marketing tips from Abbie Tanner from A Business Innovation, technology tips from Richard Allum and tips for a Financial Planning website from Gareth Thompson.
On day two, topics from 12.50-14.10 will be CFP exam tips from David Crozier, Paraplanning tips from Jane Holt, investment returns from Tom Sheridan and Justin Urquhart Stewart and independence post-RDR with Tim Page CFPCM.
This is one of a series of new events this conference. On the first day there will be a session for Accredited Financial Planning FirmsTM before the main conference starts.
This will enable members of the register to meet with each other and discuss the Great Minds Think Alike campaign. This session will mark a year since the Accredited Financial Planning Firms register was launched at last year's conference.
Other new events include 'how-to' sessions on the first day and a networking forum for delegates who are new to attending the IFP Conference.
