North West IFA hires Financial Planning co-ordinator
Lancashire-based firm Acumen Financial Partnership has announced that director Jon Landy has increased his shareholding in the business to 35% and the firm has also appointed Lucy Molina as its new Financial Planning co-ordinator.
Twenty-two year old Lucy Molina has made the switch from the retail industry, where she spent 5 years, to a job in finance as she takes on a trainee role as Financial Planning co-ordinator at Acumen.
Jon Landy said: “The addition of Lucy to the team shows our commitment to growing the business and making sure it remains attractive to bright and ambitious young talent.”
Acumen Financial Partnership is a West Lancashire based independent financial adviser firm. It offers expert advice and planning in areas such as pensions and life insurance options.
The firm has seen a surge in growth after local MP Rosie Cooper officially opened its Burscough headquarters in 2016. Since then the business has created 4 new jobs and grown its team to 16 members of staff, including six advisers.
The news of Lucy’s appointment coincides with the announcement that Jon Landy has increased his shareholding to the company to 35%. This is a sign of faith in future, says the company.
He said: “I’m delighted to have increased my share in the company and I look forward to an exciting future for this business which I so passionately believe in.”
Managing director at Acumen, Angela Maher, said: “It’s enormously important for me and Jon that we continue to grow Acumen and develop it as an independent, forward-thinking, values-driven business.”
“Jon’s increased shareholding and the addition of our 16th staff member marks the next chapter in a very successful story.”
