Nottingham adviser firm adds 5th PFS Fellow
Nottingham-based Chartered Financial Planner Jonathan Nicholls has become the fifth PFS Fellow at his company, the RU Group.
Mr Nicholls FPFS advises clients on all aspects of Financial Planning and specialises in pensions and investments.
The company said that successfully achieving PFS Fellowship was “a huge achievement and a significant milestone in Jonathan’s career.”
Mr Nicholls said: “As anyone who undertakes continuous professional development will know, it’s always interesting to balance the requirements of your day job, home life and revising for exams, and I am therefore proud to have become a Fellow of the PFS.
“Developing myself professionally is important as it enables me to deliver the best results and high-quality advice for my longstanding clients across Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands.”
Ian Browne, head of advice at The RU Group, said: “Becoming a Fellow of the PFS is status that only a small percentage of financial advisers achieve, and I would like to congratulate Jonathan on his success.
“To achieve Chartered status and become a Chartered Financial Planner requires 290 points, but to achieve fellowship requires 350 points, which is another 4 exams, so Jonathan has done exceptionally well to have balanced the requirements of his day job with studying for his exams.”
Russell Ulyatt Financial Services, the firm at the heart of The RU Group, has also achieved Chartered Status for the fourth year in a row.
The RU Group comprises Russell Ulyatt Financial Services, Greenhalgh Financial Services, Hart Shaw Financial Planning and Shevill Parkes Financial Services. The company has roots in financial advice going back over 135 years and employs more than 60 people in Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield. It manages over £500m of funds for clients.
