Nucleus snaps up Axa Elevate's head of platform support
Nucleus has this morning announced it has snapped up a senior figure at Axa Elevate as its new head of platform support.
Alan Mooney, who spent eight years building the platform support team as head of platform support and test at Axe Elevate, has been appointed by the wrap platform.
Mr Mooney will be responsible for production support, ensuring the platform is operating technically every day as it is designed to do.
He has also been handed the role to test the function within Nucleus to ensure that as the platform “continues to evolve and as new proposition and infrastructure enhancements are introduced that these are tested fully prior to implementation”.
He will report to Nucleus chief technology officer Andrew Smith.
Mr Smith said: “As we continue to grow as a business, it is essential we have the right people on board. In Alan, we have very carefully sought out specific expertise, skills and capabilities from other experienced platforms.
“Alan has seen Axa Elevate grow from a start up through to a mature business and brings a wealth of production support and platform test experience which we will benefit substantially from.
“Ensuring the platform runs smoothly is extremely important to our users and this appointment shows how seriously we take ensuring they get the very best service and user experience as possible.”
Mr Mooney said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Nucleus at a time when it is expanding rapidly and has big plans for the future.
“Nucleus is a business that has invested heavily in its technology and is the first in the market to go through a re-platforming exercise. With this successfully behind us we can focus on investing in new developments and enhancements on the platform.
“I’m looking forward to playing my part in keeping the platform running as smoothly as possible and ensuring these new developments are delivered with the rigour users would naturally expect.”
