Paraplanner Powwow may become two day event in 2015
The emerging Paraplanner Powwow movement could be set to expand further still with the national event doubling its time next year.
Following the success of last week's gathering at Upper Aynho Grounds in Northamptonshire (pictured below), organiser Richard Allum told Financial Planner Online the 2015 event could be two days long instead of just the one.
He said there had been so much to discuss that Paraplanners could easily have continued into the next day.
Those who attended echoed this thought, he said.
Just under 80 Paraplanners went to the event last week, bringing the total who have attended Powwows around the country since last year to over 200.
Mr Allum said: "It was bigger than last year, we had 60 last time and more came this year, with 77 in the end. It was a successful day and we even had the weather on our side this time."
Paraplanners debated various topics throughout the day, with sessions on report writing with a particular focus on pensions and investment switching, what a good review process looks like, and creating and building trust.

Paraplanners, who ditched their desk chairs and offices for the day for sofas and bean bags in a field, learnt a lot, even some unexpected history.
Mr Allum said: "Chris Derbyshire from 7IM gave a really good talk on the history of investing, going all the way back to the Romans."
The not-for-profit event has been backed by a raft of supporters which includes Cofunds, L&G, James Hay Partnership, Seven Investment Management and Transact.
Organisers said that this support not only ensured the staging of the national event but it will allow the extension of the burgeoning network of 'mini' Powwows that have sprung up across the country.
