Paraplanning must continue to move towards being a recognised career with a minimum level of qualification established, a CFP professional and Paraplanning firm co-owner says.

A movement to bring together Paraplanners to share knowledge and ideas and to advance the profession in the UK is gathering momentum, one of its leading figures says.

The emerging Paraplanner Powwow movement could be set to expand further still with the national event doubling its time next year.

Paraplanners want to see the creation of a unified standard for their profession, including a minimum level of qualification, and have even suggested creating their own distinct professional body, Financial Planner Online has been told.

A lick of war paint and a splash of colour will be applied to the faces of scores of Paraplanners heading for an unconventional gathering of the profession tomorrow.
