PK Wealth makes MPS available to external advisers
PK Wealth has made its Managed Portfolio Service – Active Approach available for external advisers looking to outsource part of their investment proposition.
The five actively managed model portfolios have been running for three years and PK Wealth has published performance figures for the existing adviser models.
Over three years to 30 April each portfolio outperformed its reference index net of all management fees and underlying fund charges.
PK Wealth says its most popular strategy, the PK Wealth Balanced Portfolio – Active Approach, outperformed the ARC Sterling Balanced Asset PCI by 6.2%.
The firm's Managed Portfolio Service (MPS) provides a range of five target return discretionary portfolios offering global multi-asset diversification across varying risk levels.
Fund selection is based on both qualitative and quantitative analysis and the investment managers take a long-term approach to investing.
It is time in the market rather than market timing that provides the basis of achieving a target return for an appropriate level of risk.
Three-year annualised performance reflects the success of this strategy as each model has outperformed its expected long-term (10 years plus) average annual rate of return by between 0.93% pa and 2.26% pa.
The portfolios are said to be designed to navigate through different market conditions and three-year portfolio volatility currently ranges between 3.6% and 7.2%.
The Managed Portfolio Service was launched in April 2016 and the investment team works with private individuals, companies, trusts and charities in conjunction with their professional advisers.
Portfolios are available across a variety of intermediary wrap platforms including Aegon, Ascentric, Aviva for Advisers and Fidelity FundsNetwork and can be held within a variety of tax wrappers, including ISAs, SIPPs, Onshore Bonds and Offshore Bonds.
Each portfolio has an annual management charge of 0.35% + VAT plus underlying fund charges with additional costs for custody as appropriate.
Patrick Kennedy, CEO of PK Group, said: “I am delighted with our three-year performance which has exceeded benchmarks across all risk bands and is testament to the experience and dedication of our investment team who adopt a rigorous methodology supported by robust research.
“Our discretionary investment management business, PK Wealth, compliments financial planning and other professional services including taxation, business advisory and accountancy - PK’s holistic approach enables us to provide joined-up advice to meet the diverse needs of wealthy individuals and owner-managed businesses.
“I thank my colleagues for their commitment and our clients for their continued support.”
