Prince Charles' ambassador lands role at Neil Woodford's new firm
A director who was made business ambassador in Wales by Prince Charles has landed a job at leading fund manager Neil Woodford's new firm.
Jonathan Smith takes on the position of head of corporate social responsibility at Woodford Investment Management.
He has recently had roles as a director at a number of smaller organisations, including in the marketing communications and social care sectors.
He is closely involved with Business in the Community and in 2012 was appointed by the charity's President, HRH Prince of Wales, as his Business Ambassador in Wales.
Mr Smith will join Woodford on a part-time basis this week and he will spend six months developing the company's CSR strategy before becoming full time in January 2015.

Craig Newman, chief executive of Woodford said: "It is extremely important to me to make sure that we pay proper regard to our wider social responsibilities as our business develops and Jonathan's appointment reinforces this commitment.
"His understanding of the social agenda, coupled with his outlook and approach fit perfectly with what we are looking to accomplish at Woodford Investment Management.
"Our aim is to use successful business performance as a springboard to make a measured and meaningful contribution in a wider social context."
The new asset management company has recently reported 'thrilling' inflows of £1.6bn for its CF Woodford Equity Income Fund.
Mr Woodford, head of investment, said in June: "I am really excited with the portfolio that I have been able to build for this fund.
"I have met businesses in recent weeks that have immense potential and offer fantastic investment value.
"My entire focus is finding companies like this that I believe can deliver long-term value to the investors that have the confidence to invest in my fund."
