Quilter launches new Cirilium Blend Portfolios
Quilter Investors has expanded its Cirilium range with the launch of its new Cirilium Blend Portfolios.
The Cirilium range will now comprise of the fully active, unconstrained Cirilium Portfolios, Cirilium Blend Portfolios and Cirilium Passive Portfolios, the firm said.
Quilter Investors says “launching Cirilium Blend offers additional choice to customers, with the Cirilium family providing a fully active strategy, a fully passive approach, and now the Blend strategy, which draws on the experience of the team to deliver an active approach to asset allocation, within a narrower investment universe for customers who favour a lower cost solution”.
Cirilium Blend will combine active and around 50% passive holdings to implement its strategy.
The portfolios access diversified asset classes through active and passive instruments, including ETFs, smart-beta and index funds for a Fixed Ongoing Charge (FOC) of 0.85%.
All the Cirilium portfolios are managed by Paul Craig and Rasmus Soegaard.
Mr Craig has managed Cirilium for over a decade, achieving “strong risk-adjusted returns for clients through a fully unconstrained multi-asset strategy with over £10bn invested”.
Rasmus Soegaard joined the business in 2008 following a career specialising in hedge funds and alternative investment strategies.
The Blend range includes five risk-targeted portfolios: Conservative; Balanced; Moderate; Dynamic; and Adventurous, offering clients a range of risk levels to meet their individual needs and expectations.
The risk-targeted approach means each portfolio carries different volatility parameters.
Since launching as a standalone multi-asset business within Quilter in 2018, Quilter Investors has completed a rebrand, established a new ExCo and leadership team and expanded its proposition through the launch of two new portfolio solutions, Cirilium Blend and the Quilter Investors Income range.
The business first announced plans to expand the Cirilium range earlier this year.
Separately, the business has implemented a reduction in charges in the Cirilium Passive Portfolios.
The FOC across the Cirilium Passive portfolios is reduced from 0.60% to 0.45%.
Cirilium Passive is also comprised of five portfolios, which are rebalanced quarterly and invest only in passive instruments.
In a joint statement portfolio managers Paul Craig and Rasmus Soegaard said: “We’re really pleased to be able to extend our investment philosophy to the new Cirilium Blend Portfolios.
“Through a diversified investment approach and by taking the right exposure to a variety of passive instruments, including ETFs, smart-beta and index funds, we believe this new addition to the Cirilium portfolios will enable us to deliver strong risk adjusted returns for clients.”
Quilter Investors chief commercial officer Dean Bowden added: “Offering choice to customers and their advisers is a key part of our strategy to build investment solutions that deliver against client needs.
“Launching Cirilium Blend, Quilter Investors offers further choice, drawing on the experience of the team with an active approach to asset allocation, within a narrower investment universe for customers who favour a lower cost solution.
“This is another key milestone for the business just a year on from the launch of Quilter Investors and reinforces our proposition, which together with professional advice is focused on helping customers secure good long-term investment outcomes with the support of their financial adviser.”
