Ronnie Taylor quits managing director role at Standard Life
Ronnie Taylor, workplace managing director at Standard Life, has resigned from the firm to take up a new role as pensions and investment director at Scottish Widows.
Mr Taylor took the position in September 2012 where he was responsible for proposition development, marketing and distribution for all Standard Life's workplace corporate UK business.
He also worked as chief executive of employee benefits solution specialist Vebnet, which was acquired by Standard Life in 2008, since December 2012. Since the acquitisition, the firm has been working with Standard Life to create a workplace benefits and rewards system.
Mr Taylor will take up his new role in October and Standard Life said a replacement for Mr Taylor will be announced in the near future. The workplace team will be led by Standard Life UK and Europe chief executive Paul Matthews in the interim.

Mr Taylor had worked at Standard Life since 1997 in a variety of roles including retail managing director and chief executive of Standard Life Client Management.
Mr Matthews said: "I would like to thank Ronnie for his contribution to Standard Life and wish him well. We will announce his replacement in the near future and in the meantime I will lead our Workplace business with the support of Stephen Ingledew, Richard Charnock, and the Workplace management team. We will continue to build on Standard Life's market leading position, delivering solutions that meet the needs of employers and employees around the UK while growing our business."
