Andrew Salmon is to take up the role of chief executive officer at Chartered Financial Planner-focused wealth manager Arbuthnot Latham & Co with immediate effect.
The role is in addition to his current responsibilities as group chief operating officer and head of business development.
Arbuthnot Latham offers wealth management provided mostly by Chartered Financial Planners. Mr Salmon has been on the board of Arbuthnot Banking Group since March 2004 and the company says that he has played a key role in the development of Arbuthnot Latham & Co.
He will be supported by two deputy chief executives, James Cobb, group finance director and Stephen Fletcher who joined Arbuthnot Latham in September 2015 and has established the bank’s Commercial Banking business.
Sir Henry Angest, chairman and chief executive of Arbuthnot Banking Group PLC said: “The group’s business is now focused on one principal subsidiary and we count ourselves lucky in having in Andrew an executive of such experience and quality to take on the role of Arbuthnot Latham’s new chief executive officer.
“Andrew has worked successfully for the group for over 20 years and I look forward to continuing to work with him as Arbuthnot Latham maintains its strategy to grow and diversify.”
