Six weeks until Richard Allum's first Paraplanner Powwow
There are six weeks until the Paraplanner Powwow and tickets are selling fast.
The Paraplanner Powwow is organised by Richard Allum of theparaplanners.com and a board member of the Institute of Financial Planning.
It will take place in Oxfordshire on 19 September and aims to be an 'unconference' for Paraplanners.
The first speaker has already been confirmed as Mark Polson from the lang cat who will be speaking on platforms, pensions and investments.
An 'unconference' aims to allow delegates to influence the topics with interactive sessions and workshops. This is in contrast to conferences where an agenda is already decided and delegates take a passive listening role.

A variety of sessions include show and tell presentations, interactive workshops, 'guru lectures', and a 60-minute plenary Paraplanner Powwow.
Possible topics that delegates have already suggested to be included are report writing, research, technology, compliance and due diligence.
Mr Allum said: "We've had really good feedback from delegates and we're having a team planning meeting soon to get all the ideas together. Clean share classes were the most popular topic by a long way.
"We've got Mark Polson as an external speaker and might have one more but generally it will be led by the delegates themselves. It will be completely different to what we've seen before."
The event is supported by AXA Wealth, Cofunds, Legal & General, 7IM and Transact.
Less than 15 tickets remain for the event so book soon to attend via http://paraplannerspowwow.co.uk/event/
