St James's Place Academy expands to Edinburgh
St James’s Place Wealth Management is to expand its Academy programme to Edinburgh.
The Academy offers individuals with no previous experience in financial advice the opportunity to become wealth managers within St James’s Place.
St James Place says that following the success of its Academy programmes in London, Manchester and Solihull, the Academy has been established in Edinburgh to attract candidates from Scotland, the North East and Northern Ireland.
The first intake will begin in February 2016, following interviews for candidates starting this month. Open evenings will take place in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast, where interested applicants can obtain further insight in to the Academy and meet graduates who have embarked on the two year programme.

Candidates come from a wide range of backgrounds some of whom may be looking for a career change or a new challenge such as taking control of their working lives and creating value for themselves and their families.
Previous graduates have come from a variety of different sectors, including marketing, teaching, recruitment, the Armed Forces, professional sports, accountancy and the legal profession, among others.
Adrian Batchelor, Academy director says: “The opening of Edinburgh demonstrates the success of the St. James’s Place Academies to date. Edinburgh was chosen to further extend our regional coverage and create greater opportunities throughout the North East and Scotland.”
Applicants to the Academy undertake an intensive education, coaching and assessment programme which equips them with the skills to provide professional, expert wealth management services to potential clients, says the company. The programme takes two years with successful graduates going on to join the St. James’s Place Partnership.
