St. James's Place reveals acquisition of protection firm
Wealth management group St. James’s Place (SJP) has today revealed it has acquired protection firm, Future Proof Ltd.
The new arrangement will see Future Proof become part of the SJP, supporting the firm’s partnership through the provision of specialist protection advice.
SJP says that Future Proof, which was established in 2011, “provides expert, high quality advice on income protection insurance, critical illness insurance and life insurance, in both the personal and business markets.”
Since its inception, it has arranged more than £800m worth of cover for clients via a range of insurance companies.
Iain Rayner, SJP’s joint chief operating officer, said: “In a short space of time, Future Proof has established itself as one of the leading protection advisory services in the UK.
“They have achieved this by focusing on the value of relationships and with an ethos that is very similar to our own – to provide the highest level of advice to clients so that their needs, and those of their families, are met long into the future.
“We’re delighted to welcome the Future Proof team to St. James’s Place and look forward to working with them to give our clients and Partners access to quality protection solutions.”
Future Proof’s founder, David Mead, said: “We’re extremely proud of the team we have at Future Proof and the high-quality protection advice they provide to clients.
“This has helped thousands of people to safeguard their futures against life’s many uncertainties.
“To be able to now support St. James’s Place partners and clients with important and often complex conversations about protection marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter and is another step towards closing the protection gap that exists in the UK.”
