Tenet launches ESG research platform
Adviser firm Tenet has launched a new research platform which it says will help advisers cut through the complexity of environmental, social and governance (ESG) propositions.
It is giving free lifetime access to ESG Compass to anyone who signs up before the end of the year.
The all-in-one digital portal offers access to a suite of ESG funds, managed portfolio services and mortgage research.
All our subject to due diligence, objective analysis and regular re-evaluation, the company said.
Advisers will also be able to conduct focused ESG searches according to criteria such as ESG style, product type, risk level and cost.
Mark Scanlon, chief executive at Tenet, said: “Rightly, ESG has become an essential consideration for investors seeking a positive impact and healthy returns. However, finding and researching ESG propositions in a saturated market remains complex and time-consuming for advisers.”
He said the new digital platform will help advisers to research ESG propositions.
The research offered through the platform is conducted by the Tenet Research Hub, a team of industry specialists with experience supporting advisers with product research, provider due diligence and constructing product and fund panels.
Mike Dowsett, senior research consultant at Tenet, said: “With so many different products available, and growing concerns about issues such as greenwashing, our aim is to give advisers confidence and peace of mind about the ESG products they are discussing with clients.”
When it comes to product due diligence, he said Tenet conducts in-house due diligence questionnaires, as well as taking into consideration a provider’s financial strength and other factors including the experience and qualifications of its management team, charges, investment performance and ESG objectives and screening methodology.
He said the data will allow advisers to understand the differences between the various ESG funds and discretionary managed portfolio propositions available in the wider market.
The platform includes a number of search filters, such as investment style, ESG classification, IA sector and risk approach across funds and discretionary portfolios.
