Financial Planning group Tilney has hired a former St James's Place adviser as part of a major recruitment drive.
Darren Steadman becomes a Financial Planner at Tilney’s Bristol office. He joins from HSBC where he was a premier client manager.
Prior to that, Mr Steadman was a financial adviser at IFA Bishop Fleming and at St James’s Place.
The Financial Planning business signaled a hiring spree for “high calibre Financial Planners” in January as it announced it had rebranded as the Tilney Group.
He has also worked at other banks as a client relationship manager including at Santander and Bank of Scotland.
Tilney cited his significant experience in building relationships with HNW private clients and in taking a “holistic approach to advising clients” for hiring him.
Rob Chandler, regional head of Financial Planning at Tilney, said: “Darren is a highly-experienced Financial Planner with a track record of maintaining key relationships with HNW clients.
“The continued growth of the Tilney Bristol team will help reinforce Tilney’s “two expert” approach to supporting clients with both Financial Planning advice and tailored investment management within the area.
“As we continue to expand our team around the country, we will be looking for individuals, like Darren, who can offer the best possible service to our clients.”
