Financial Planner and investment manager Tilney has opened a new office in Guildford to provide space for expansion.

The office is in the new Cathedral Square development close to the University of Surrey and Guildford Cathedral.

Tilney says the new office has been opened to meet the needs of Tilney’s growing client base in Surrey and east Hampshire and to accommodate the firm’s recruitment plans.

Tilney has 11 staff in Guildford, including three Financial Planners with around 45 years' combined experience.

Chartered Financial Planner Lee Matthews, a Tilney partner, said: “Having already established an excellent client base in the town and the surrounding area, we are delighted to be opening this new office in Guildford.

“The new office will enable us to better support and advise private investors and their families locally and to grow our presence further. In particular we look forward to further developing close relationships with the leading firms of accountants and solicitors in the area.”

The new office is located near to the A3 and is a short distance from the train station. It will provide services to clients as far as Woking, Farnham, Godalming, Leatherhead and Dorking as well as Guildford itself.

Tilney looks after £24bn of assets for private investors, families and charities. The company was recently named Wealth Manager of the Year by the Financial Times and Investors Chronicle.

The company’s HQ is in Mayfair, London and it employs over 1,000 staff across 30 offices.
