The IFP conference has lined up some top global keynote speakers to celebrate its 25 year anniversary.

The Institute of Financial Planning has announced that this year’s conference is a sell-out.

The IFP has hosted the first Aberdeen Adviser Intelligence seminar with sponsor Aberdeen Asset Management.

The Institute of Financial Planning has launched a new free gap-filling programme on the topic of pensions and retirement planning.

In June, Northern Ireland branch held a half day seminar, with Paul Etheridge MBE on “how to manage initial meetings with prospective clients.”

The best laid plans...the day before the June West Midlands meeting one of the speakers, John Pattullo of Henderson Global Investors, lost his voice.

In July, London branch welcomed Nick Blake of Vanguard , discussing the topic of Behavioural Investing. His presentation touched on the actual science of behavioural investing but mainly focused on the Financial Planner’s role as a behavioural coach and how to use this skill to grow a profitable business.

Kent and Sussex branch met on 7 July with David Lane, senior technical sales manager with AXA Wealth, giving his second presentation to the branch in a detailed update on IHT and Trust planning.

Surrey Branch members were pleased to welcome IFP chief executive Nick Cann, for their fourth branch meeting of 2011.

IFP launches online TV channel

The Institute of Financial Planning has launched its own online video and film channel called IFP TV.
