The FCA has appointed two new financial advice bosses.
Deb Jones and Debbie Gupta have been appointed as co-directors of life insurance and financial advice supervision.
They take over from Linda Woodall, who announced she would retire at the end of last year.
Ms Jones is currently director of competition at the FCA. She was previously a director at the Office of Fair Trading, where she led cartel enforcement cases and policy work. Prior to joining the OFT, she was a practising solicitor at Slaughter and May.
Ms Gupta was an executive director at the NEST Corporation, one of the UK’s largest pension providers. She has also held two director roles at the Department for Work and Pensions, as Deputy Director of Pension Reform Legislation and Director of Benefit Performance.
Both directors will take up the role in May.
Ms Woodall took over the role previously from Nick Poyntz-Wright in 2015.
