Critical to its success will be the participation of IFP members, so how can you get involved? You could consider running free financial surgeries for a day which might help attract new clients.
On the PR front, you could contact local radio stations or business editors at regional newspapers to volunteer yourself as a local spokesperson, available to chat or write on key Financial Planning themes.
It's a great platform for getting your own messages out – something that will become much more important once the RDR changes take hold.
You might want to use the campaign to launch a new aspect of your service or even reinforce your approach now that the RDR will be creating such change in financial advice.
You're much more likely to get media coverage if you can tie these in with something topical and timely – and Financial Planning Week is perfect!
