The Financial Conduct Authority has appointed a former senior manager at Credit Suisse as a non-executive director. Catherine Bradley will start in her new role, which has a three year term, from 2 August, writes Bradley Hayden. The appointment of non-executive directors to the FCA are made by the Treasury. {desktop}{/desktop}{mobile}{/mobile} Ms Bradley has a strong capital market background, having held a variety of senior roles at a number of major investment banks. She joined Societe Generale as in June 2013, undertaking the role of head of equity advisor for Asia-Pacific. From 2003 to 2012 she worked at Credit Suisse. During her last four years with the company, she had the role of head of equity-linked solutions group Asia Pacific. Before joining Credit Suisse, Ms Bradley worked for Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, BNP Paribas, UBS and Merrill Lynch. Economic Secretary to the Treasury Andrea Leadsom said: "I am delighted to announce this appointment to the Financial Conduct Authority. "Catherine will bring valuable skills, expertise and experience of the international capital markets that will benefit the work of the FCA greatly".
